On 8/28/13 on a whim I started a 30 day challenge for myself in a Facebook Note. In less than 3 days I made more progress on my dreams than ever before and this blog was officially born on 8/30/13 (although the challenge started on 8/28/13). My intent is to inspire you to transform your life in 30 days by giving yourself permission to dream…vividly.
2015 UPDATE
On May 25th, Memorial Day 2015 I embarked on the next chapter of my life. I arrived in Buffalo, NY to check into graduate housing and the next 2 weeks were life-changing. I am now pursuing my Master of Science in Creativity and Change Leadership at the International Center for Studies in Creativity and on 7/27/15 I launch my new website, NicoleColter.com. This is the Creative Nicole version 1.0 model and you can expect many iterations in the months and years to come!

SOME BACKGROUND
New Year’s 2002 I was a single lady living in Long Island, NY and working as an Assistant Vice President of Mutual Fund Operations at Credit Suisse Asset Management in NYC. By New Year’s 2003, I was just about to relocate to Eastern CT, get married, become an instant mom to 3 beautiful kids aged 5, 6 & 7, buy a house and start a business!!! By the end of 2003, I had actually started 2 businesses (one for him and one for me as I would have killed him if I had to work with him too).
My husband is an amazing man but like many couples, we had some really rough years in marriage. We were blessed to encounter Laugh Your Way to a Better Marriage in 2010 and we are now Independent Seminar Facilitators presenting for Laugh Your Way on a mission to Educate, Entertain and Eliminate Divorce. Throughout my small business career I have been a passionate believer in the value of partnerships and collaboration. In 2012 my husband & I brought the barter exchange concept to Eastern Connecticut in our new business Barter Matchmakers. I’m really excited to get started in the “sharing economy” and I’m so hopeful for what can be accomplished by anyone, anywhere as barriers come down and make solopreneurs (including mompreneurs) more empowered.
I am so grateful that I was able to work from home and see my kids grow day by day. My oldest daughter just started college and my youngest daughter is a Junior in High School and my son is a Senior. As I have transitioned recently toward a Life Coach/Mentor more than Parent to these young adults, it has been so amazing to talk with them about their dreams and watch as they actively take steps to write their own future. At the same time, I have also started to dream vividly about what the next chapter of my own life will hold. Dreams are powerful. New Year’s 2023 will look so much different than my life now and that is because I actively work toward writing my own future!!!
